Dennu Coil- A Circle of Children

Well, i have finished Denno Coil a few weeks ago when Ureshii fansubs finished it, who btw did a wonderfull job at subing it.

Non the less it deserves to be mentioned here, it’s a good story which did manage to capture me right away and i did burn for every new episode which is pretty much rare.

We write the year 2026 – the world has a new gadget, GLASSES! Yep, you heard right, glasses, those things to actualy see better. In Dennou Coil glasses make the virtual world which is overlayed over the real world visible. That way people have digital pets, play games or even work with them (teacher for example). You can pop up a screen and keyboard right in front of you, browse the web or recieve calls, you just have to make a fist – spread the thumb and the twinky finger of it and hold it to your head like a phone. That does also work because these glasses have futuristic built-in super speakers, which also allow them to hear the sounds of the virtual environment.
I can’t admit that i wouldn’t love a set of those glasses, hell they look like a lot of fun.

So much about the glasses, Yūko Okonogi is our heroine here and it all starts of with her moving to live with her grandmother “Megabaa”. The anime starts of pretty slowly (as most of these kind of animes do in my opinion), not revealing to much of it’s actualy pretty complex story so the audience has time to get the basics of what glasses are, what Denno Coil is and even gets the chance to dig in Yūkos past with her as she tries to recall important parts of when she was seven years ago in that town already to solve the mysterious puzzle.
