MacBook Pro

So… not been writing much here lately, since i got a job and all it has been very busy around me. ;)
Not to mention that Japan related matters are rather tight over here hehe.

Anyhow… got me a MacBook Pro the other day, pretty fancy and i’m seriously in love with it! :)

Some Tech Data bout it:
- 17″
- Intel Core 2 Duo 2.93 GHz
- 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3
- 320GB 7200RPM

Still turned off, got an bluetooth Kensington Mouse with it and an second magsave power supply, can’t be without a second one!

When being turned on, it pulls the obligatory Mac entry – Welcome in a ton of languages, very lovely. :)

Installed a WinXP via BootCamp on it by now as well, to check out how MMOs run on it, pretty good actually (Vanguard for example). Vanguard is pretty heavy on the hardware, though just due it’s slacky coding. Actually with Vanguard being on i heard the fans for the first time, without anything GPU or CPU heavy going on the Macbook Pro is nearly soundless!

I think that was japanese, not sure, might have been chinese too lol… korean was before i think. O.o
Least it looks like something asian, so it’s worth of being posted. ;)

Some of the stuff i bought along with it – Parallels, Kensington Bluetooth Mouse, Mini Display Port Adapters, second Power Supply, etc.

Well, now all the lovely work with configuring the software and so on begins…

Do want! What holds me back (besides that I don’t have the money) is the lack of a HDMI-port.
Does XP support the switch between the Nvidia 9400 and 9600 too?

Parallels? Looks like some people are actually buying software ^_^

Yep, it does support the switch. ;)
BootCamp installs a crapload of drivers to the Windows partition once it’s installed.
Played Vanguard (which is a total performance hog) on it very very liquid.
Wouldn’t be possible with the 9400 hehe :)

Well yea… i tend to buy some things… just was a slao in the face that my OEM Win XP License went nuts on me when i tried to boots the partition in Parallels… “ohhh my goooood new hardware – no no no – i refuse to work now” … so at the moment i can only boot XP directly as OS but not virtualized. -.-

Need to resinstall XP with a Volume Key… sigh.
